Greetings from the Mayor

With this homepage of the town of Teterow, we would like to introduce you to our "old" new Teterow, at the geographical center of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and at the heart of a beautiful area called "Mecklenburgish Switzerland".

The past few years, since the epoch-making political events in Germany, have brought a tumultuous development and manifold changes to our lives, our surroundings, and also to our town.

The Teterow economy has developed dynamically in our region, and we are confident that this pleasant process will continue in the future and make our town even more lovable and worth living in year after year.

We hope and wish that we can satisfy our citizens’ and visitors’ need for information with this homepage.

Reelection of the Mayor

On December 9th 2001, the people of Teterow reelected Dr. Reinhard Dettmann, for the first time in a direct vote, for a period of 8 years as their mayor. Dr. Dettmann, born 1950, a qualified physicist, is married and has four children.
